  • 2.0 large russet potatoes
  • 2.0 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.0 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • None garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Potatoes: Begin by washing and scrubbing the russet potatoes thoroughly. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick) for uniform cooking.
  • Soak and Dry: Place the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. This step helps to remove excess starch and results in crispier chips. After soaking, drain the water and pat the potato slices dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  • Season the Chips: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss the dried potato slices in the oil and seasoning mixture until they are evenly coated.
  • Add Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the seasoned potato slices and toss gently to ensure each slice is coated in cheese.
  • Preheat Your Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Air Fry: Place the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the chips are golden and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • Cool and Serve: Once the chips are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your crispy, cheesy chips!
