Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked jasmine rice or steamed broccoli (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.

Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and slightly crispy.

Add the Sauce: Flip the shrimp over and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Stir to coat the shrimp evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from heat, garnish the shrimp with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over cooked jasmine rice or alongside steamed broccoli.
