4 Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Asparagus: On a large baking sheet, arrange the trimmed asparagus. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

      Season the Salmon: In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Brush this mixture generously over the salmon fillets.

        Bake the Salmon and Asparagus: Place the salmon fillets on the same baking sheet alongside the asparagus. Transfer the sheet to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.

          Serve: Remove from the oven and serve the salmon and asparagus hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side for an added citrus kick.
