Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

½ cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ginger powder

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

½ cup orange juice (freshly squeezed if possible)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon cornstarch (for sauce)

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon orange zest

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

    - In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Mix well.

      - Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the cornstarch mixture.

        Preheat the Air Fryer:

          - Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Air Fry the Chicken:

              - Drizzle the vegetable oil over the coated chicken and toss to coat evenly.

                - Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer).

                  - Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

                    Make the Orange Sauce:

                      - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring to a gentle simmer.

                        - In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Add this mixture to the simmering sauce and stir continuously until the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes).

                          - Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest for added flavor.

                            Coat the Chicken:

                              - Transfer the cooked chicken to a large serving bowl. Pour the orange sauce over the chicken and gently toss until all pieces are well-coated.

                                Garnish and Serve:

                                  - Transfer the glazed chicken to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
