Ingredients

4 large buttery croissants

6 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite blend)

1 cup diced cooked ham or crumbled cooked sausage

1/2 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/4 cup finely diced bell pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional, like chives or parsley)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

Prepare the croissants: Carefully slice each croissant in half lengthwise, then scoop out a small portion of the soft bread from the center, creating a little boat. Place them cut-side up in the greased baking dish.

Whisk eggs and milk: In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Whisk until well blended. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Mix in the fillings: Stir in the shredded cheese, diced ham (or sausage), chopped spinach, and bell pepper into the egg mixture until evenly combined.

Fill the croissants: Pour the egg mixture evenly into each croissant boat, filling them generously but not overflowing.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the egg is set and the tops are golden brown.

Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Baked Breakfast Croissant Boats!
