Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

12 oz (340g) rotini pasta

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup spinach, fresh (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks.

Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef, stirring frequently for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Make the Sauce: Reduce heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, adjust the consistency with a splash of pasta water.

Combine Pasta and Beef: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet, tossing it in the sauce until evenly coated. If using spinach, stir it in at this point until wilted.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
