Ingredients

1 French baguette, halved lengthwise

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning until well combined.

Place the halved baguette on a baking sheet, cut side up, and brush the garlic butter mixture generously over both halves.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the bread as desired.

Layer the sliced mozzarella evenly on top of the garlic buttered bread.

Spread the halved cherry tomatoes evenly across the mozzarella layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Then, sprinkle chopped fresh basil on top for a burst of flavor.

Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving for a touch of sweetness and acidity.
