CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CRUNCH BARS

Ingredients
  

For the Base:

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Caramel Layer:

1 cup soft caramel candies (or homemade caramel)

2 tablespoons heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Topping:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/2 cup crispy rice cereal

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture is well combined and has a crumbly texture.

      - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased or parchment-lined 9x9 inch square baking dish to form an even layer. Set aside.

        Make the Caramel Layer:

          - In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the candies are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

            - Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Mix well.

              - Pour the melted caramel over the graham cracker base, spreading it evenly. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.

                Prepare the Chocolate Topping:

                  - In another saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil over low heat, stirring until smooth.

                    - Remove from heat and fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.

                      - Quickly spread the chocolate-crispy mixture over the caramel layer, ensuring an even coverage.

                        Chill and Set:

                          - Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate has set and firmed up.

                            Cut and Serve:

                              - Once set, remove the bars from the baking dish by lifting the parchment (if used). Cut into squares or rectangles.
