1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

1 large egg

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

10 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes

½ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Olive oil spray or oil for frying

Preparation: Start by setting up a breading station. In one bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. In a second bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.

    Coat the Cheese: Take each mozzarella cube and first dip it in the seasoned flour, making sure to coat it evenly. Shake off any excess flour.

      Egg Wash: Next, dip the floured mozzarella cubes into the beaten egg, allowing any excess egg to drip off.

        Breadcrumb Coating: Finally, roll the egg-coated mozzarella cubes in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Press gently to help the coating stick.

          Chill: Place the coated mozzarella bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. For the best results, refrigerate the bites for at least 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape during cooking.

            Cooking Method: Preheat your air fryer or oven to 375°F (190°C). If using an air fryer, lightly spray the basket with olive oil. If using an oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat it with olive oil.

              Air Frying: Arrange the mozzarella bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray the tops with olive oil. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

                Oven Baking: Place the mozzarella bites on the baking sheet and spray them with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

                  Serving: Once done, remove from the air fryer or oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
