Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup celery, finely chopped

1/4 cup red grapes, halved

1/4 cup almonds, sliced (or walnuts for a nuttier flavor)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Fresh herbs (like dill or parsley) for garnish, optional

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Salad: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, celery, red grapes, almonds, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll Out the Crescents: Carefully open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles as indicated on the package.

Fill and Roll: Take a generous spoonful of the chicken salad mixture and place it at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough up towards the point, enclosing the filling securely. Place the rolled crescent on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake: Repeat the process until all the dough and chicken salad are used. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

Serve and Garnish: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. If desired, garnish with fresh herbs. Serve warm or at room temperature as a delightful appetizer or lunch!
