Ingredients

12-15 pretzel rods

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)

1/2 cup crushed nuts (such as almonds, pecans, or peanuts)

1/2 cup sprinkles (your choice of color)

Parchment paper

Instructions

Prepare the Workspace:

    - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate-covered pretzels from sticking.

      Melt the Chocolate:

        - In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.

          Dip the Pretzel Rods:

            - Take a pretzel rod by one end and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring that approximately two-thirds of the rod is coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.

              Add Toppings:

                - While the chocolate is still wet, immediately sprinkle the crushed nuts or sprinkles onto the chocolate-covered section. You can do this over the sink or over a separate bowl to catch the excess.

                  Cool the Pretzels:

                    - Place the coated pretzel rods upright in a glass or jar to allow the chocolate to set. Alternatively, you can lay them back on the parchment if you prefer.

                      Optional White Chocolate Drizzle:

                        - If you're adding a white chocolate drizzle, melt the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl using the same method as before. Once melted, use a fork or a piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the pretzel rods in a decorative pattern.

                          Set the Pretzel Rods:

                            - Let the chocolate-covered pretzel rods sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely hardened.

                              Serve and Enjoy:

                                - Once set, remove the pretzel rods from the parchment and present them on a platter. These treats make excellent gifts or party favors!
