Ingredients

4 large chocolate croissants, torn into pieces

1 cup milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

4 large eggs

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Prepare the Croissants: Tear the chocolate croissants into bite-sized pieces and evenly distribute them across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Make the Custard Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Combine: Pour the custard mixture over the torn croissants, ensuring they are soaked thoroughly. Press down gently to help the croissants absorb the liquid.

Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the croissant mixture.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.

Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm, garnished with fresh strawberries for a delightful touch.
