1 pound (450g) uncooked penne pasta

1 ½ cups (360ml) marinara sauce

2 cups (480ml) chicken broth

2 cups (300g) cooked, shredded chicken (can use rotisserie chicken)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Combine Ingredients: In a large, deep baking dish, combine uncooked penne pasta, marinara sauce, chicken broth, shredded chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the pasta is well coated with the sauce and ingredients are evenly distributed.

      Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

        Add Cheese: Remove the foil and stir the mixture. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Return to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.

          Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious, no-fuss casserole!
