8 slices of whole-grain bread

1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced

1 cup cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Thinly sliced radishes or smoked salmon for extra flavor

Instructions
 

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.

    Lay out 4 slices of the whole-grain bread on a clean surface.

      Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture over each slice of bread.

        Place a layer of cucumber slices on top of the cream cheese. If desired, add radishes or smoked salmon for extra flavor.

          Top each prepared slice with another slice of bread, pressing gently to adhere.

            Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich into quarters or halves, depending on your preference.

              Arrange the sandwich pieces on a platter and serve immediately for the best texture.
