Ingredients

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)

8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded

4 oz salami, sliced

4 oz pepperoni, sliced

1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced (any color)

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

All-purpose flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12x16 inches, ensuring it is evenly thick.

Add Sauce and Cheese: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

Layer the Fillings: Evenly layer the sliced salami, pepperoni, bell pepper, and red onion on top of the cheese. Sprinkle the dried oregano and garlic powder over the fillings for extra flavor.

Roll it Up: Starting from one end of the rectangle, carefully roll the dough over the fillings, tucking as you go to keep everything intact. Once rolled, pinch the ends to seal the Stromboli and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Add Egg Wash: Brush the top of the Stromboli with the beaten egg, which will give it a beautiful golden color while baking.

Make Slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits along the top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with additional marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
