Ingredients

4 ripe kiwis

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or your preferred chocolate)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoothness)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or walnuts)

Sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Wooden popsicle sticks or skewers

Instructions

Prepare the Kiwis: Start by peeling the kiwis and cutting them into bite-sized rounds or half-moons, about 1/2 inch thick. You should aim for approximately 12-16 kiwi slices, depending on the size of the fruit.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted.

Dip the Kiwis: Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each kiwi slice into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Add Crunch: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top of the chocolate-covered kiwis. This gives a delightful crunch and additional flavor to your pops.

Insert Sticks: If you're using wooden sticks, gently insert a stick into the bottom of each kiwi slice before the chocolate begins to set. This gives your popsicle a handle for easy enjoyment.

Freeze: Place the baking sheet with the kiwi pops in the freezer. Let them freeze for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is completely hard.

Garnish (Optional): Once frozen, you can sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top for a sophisticated touch if desired.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove the Frozen Chocolate Kiwi Pops from the freezer and enjoy immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
