Ingredients

2 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (plus extra for drizzling)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup granola (for crunch)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)

1 teaspoon lemon juice (to prevent browning)

Optional: a pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Prep the Apples: Start by washing the apples thoroughly. Core them, then slice them into thin rounds about 1/4 inch thick. Toss the apple slices with a teaspoon of lemon juice to prevent browning.

Make the Yogurt Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt (if using). Mix until smooth and well combined.

Assemble the Slices: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Take an apple slice, dip it into the yogurt mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated, and place it on the parchment paper. Repeat with all the apple slices.

Add Toppings: Once all slices are coated, sprinkle a little granola and chopped nuts on top of each yogurt-covered apple slice. This adds a delightful crunch!

Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the apple slices for at least 2-3 hours, or until the yogurt is completely frozen.

Drizzle and Serve: Once the slices are frozen, remove them from the freezer. Drizzle a little extra maple syrup over the top for added sweetness. Enjoy immediately or keep them in an airtight container in the freezer for a refreshing snack!
