Ingredients

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil spray for baking

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Green Beans: Rinse and trim the green beans, ensuring they are all about the same size for even cooking.

Set Up Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set up your breading station:

        - Bowl 1: Place the flour and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

          - Bowl 2: Beat the eggs with a dash of salt and pepper.

            - Bowl 3: Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes, mixing well.

Breading Process: One at a time, dip each green bean into the flour, ensuring it's well-coated. Tap off any excess flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs. Finally, roll the green bean in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure a good coating.

Bake the Green Bean Fries: Arrange the breaded green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.

Cooking Time: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the green bean fries are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crispiness.

Serve: Once they’re done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the top.
