To achieve the perfect Grilled Pineapple Delight, preheating your grill is essential. The ideal temperature for grilling pineapple is between 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C). This high heat helps caramelize the natural sugars in the pineapple, resulting in a beautifully charred exterior while keeping the interior juicy and tender.

Ingredients

1 ripe pineapple

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted) or butter

Pinch of sea salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Lime wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pineapple: Start by peeling the pineapple and removing the core. Slice it into 1/2-inch thick rings or wedges, depending on your preference.

Mix the Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. This blend will enhance the natural sweetness of the pineapple and add a lovely cinnamon flavor.

Brush with Oil: Lightly brush both sides of the pineapple slices with melted coconut oil (or butter). This will help achieve a nice golden color and prevent sticking on the grill.

Season the Pineapple: Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over one side of the pineapple slices.

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using a grill pan on the stove, warm it up over medium-high heat.

Grill the Pineapple: Place the pineapple slices on the grill, seasoned side down. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on the unseasoned side. Flip the slices and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until grill marks appear and the pineapple is tender.

Serve: Once grilled, remove the pineapple slices from the grill and let them cool for a minute. Serve them warm, garnished with fresh mint leaves and lime wedges for a refreshing touch.

Enjoy: These delicious grilled pineapple slices can be enjoyed on their own or served with vanilla ice cream or yogurt for an extra indulgent dessert.
