1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon lime juice

For the Cabbage Slaw:

2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced

1 cup purple cabbage, thinly sliced

1 carrot, grated

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

¼ cup green onions, chopped

3 tablespoons lime juice

2 tablespoons honey

Salt and pepper, to taste

For Assembly:

8 small corn or flour tortillas

Lime wedges, for serving

Avocado slices (optional)

Hot sauce (optional)

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

    Prepare the Slaw: In a large mixing bowl, combine the green cabbage, purple cabbage, grated carrot, cilantro, and green onions. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss until well coated. Set aside.

      Grill the Shrimp: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers or grill them directly on the grates if they are large enough not to fall through. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Remove from the grill.

        Warm the Tortillas: While the shrimp are grilling, heat the tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly charred. Alternatively, you may wrap them in foil and warm them in the oven.

          Assemble the Tacos: To assemble, place a generous portion of cabbage slaw on each tortilla. Top with grilled shrimp, avocado slices if desired, and a drizzle of hot sauce. Finish with a squeeze of lime juice.
