Ingredients

3 cups heirloom tomatoes, assorted colors and sizes, sliced

8 oz burrata cheese

¼ cup fresh basil leaves

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic glaze

1 tsp sea salt

½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper

¼ cup thinly sliced red onions (optional)

1 tbsp toasted pine nuts (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Tomatoes: Rinse the heirloom tomatoes under cool water. Slice them into rounds or wedges, depending on size. Arrange them on a large platter or individual serving plates, overlapping them for a beautiful display.

Add the Burrata: Carefully tear the burrata cheese into large pieces and place them in the center of the tomatoes. This will allow the creamy interior to flow around the tomatoes as you serve.

Garnish with Basil: Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and scatter them over the salad, adding fragrant notes to the dish.

Drizzle with Oil and Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze. Drizzle this mixture evenly over the entire salad, ensuring each tomato and piece of burrata is dressed.

Season to Taste: Sprinkle the sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper evenly over the salad. For a little extra punch, add thin slices of red onion if desired.

Finish with Pine Nuts: Top the salad with toasted pine nuts for that delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

Serve and Enjoy: Allow the salad to rest for about 5 minutes before serving, letting the flavors meld. Serve at room temperature as a stunning appetizer or side dish.
