Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/4 cup onion, finely diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup milk (or chicken broth)

2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Marinara sauce (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you'll be baking the meatballs.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and milk. Use your hands or a spoon to mix well until all ingredients are just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Shape the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 16-18 meatballs.

        Cook the Meatballs:

          - Baking Option: Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet. Lightly drizzle with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

            - Pan-Frying Option: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.

Serve: If desired, warm some marinara sauce in a separate pan and serve it over the meatballs or on the side. Garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan for an additional touch.

Enjoy: Pair your juicy turkey meatballs with spaghetti, in a sub sandwich, or as a protein-packed snack!
