Ingredients

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 ½ cups cold water

1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups heavy cream

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large ripe bananas, sliced

1 (12-ounce) box vanilla wafers

Additional vanilla wafers and banana slices for layering and garnish

Instructions

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and cold water. Gradually whisk in the instant vanilla pudding mix until it’s smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate for about 4 hours, or until thickened.

Whip the Cream: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together using an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip, as you want it fluffy.

Combine: Once the pudding mixture is set, gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding using a spatula. Do this slowly to keep the mixture light and airy.

Layer the Dessert: In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, create layers starting with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom. Follow that with a layer of banana slices, then a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used up, finishing with the pudding layer on top.

Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

Serve & Garnish: When ready to serve, you can top the pudding with additional whipped cream, sliced bananas, and a few vanilla wafers for garnish. Enjoy your scrumptious homemade Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding!
