Ingredients

For the Chicken Filling:

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup marinara sauce

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Garlic Knots:

1 pound refrigerated pizza dough

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Extra grated Parmesan for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella, marinara sauce, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small rectangle, about 3x4 inches.

Fill the Knots: Place a tablespoon of the chicken filling at one end of each rectangle. Roll the dough over the filling to create a log shape, then twist the edges to form a knot. Make sure the filling is sealed inside.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes if using.

Coat the Knots: Dip each garlic knot into the garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced a little apart.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.

Finish with Cheese: Remove the knots from the oven, sprinkle with extra grated Parmesan cheese, and return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Serve: Allow the knots to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping!
