2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 large egg

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled (about 4-5 links)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Optional: maple syrup for drizzling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin or line it with mini muffin liners.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

      Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth.

        Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
