Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably seasoned)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

For the BBQ Sauce:

1 cup ketchup

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Mix the Meatball Ingredients:

      - In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

        - Mix everything gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix to keep the meatballs tender.

          Shape the Meatballs:

            - With your hands, shape the mixture into even-sized meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

              Bake the Meatballs:

                - Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

                  Prepare the BBQ Sauce:

                    - While the meatballs are baking, combine all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.

                      - Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is heated through, then simmer for about 5-10 minutes to blend the flavors.

                        Glaze the Meatballs:

                          - Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and carefully transfer them to the saucepan with the BBQ sauce.

                            - Gently toss the meatballs in the sauce until they are evenly coated.

                              Final Touches:

                                - You can return the glazed meatballs to the baking sheet and broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish if desired.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Serve your mouthwatering BBQ meatballs warm, garnished with extra parsley if you like, alongside toothpicks for easy eating or over a bed of rice or mashed potatoes.
