8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Salt and pepper to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
