4 cups water

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/2 cup flavored jelly (e.g., grape, strawberry, or berry)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Prepare the Okra: Start by rinsing the okra pods under cool water. Trim the ends and cut them into small rings (about 1/2 inch thick). This will help release their natural mucilage into the water.

    Boil and Infuse: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add the chopped okra and reduce the heat to a simmer. Allow the okra to simmer for about 10-15 minutes. You should notice the water becoming slightly viscous and taking on a green hue.

      Strain the Mixture: Once the okra infusion is ready, strain the liquid using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher. Discard the okra solids. The resulting liquid is the base of your drink.
