Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Base: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Brown the Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Rice and Liquid: Stir in the uncooked rice and soy sauce, mixing well to combine with the beef and onion mixture. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle boil.

Incorporate Broccoli: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, and gently fold in the broccoli florets. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.

Cheesy Finish: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve: Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
