One-Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken and Broccoli

2 large chicken breasts, thinly sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Instructions
 

Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sliced chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

    Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Prepare the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream and stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

        Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. If you like a bit of heat, sprinkle in the red pepper flakes and mix well.

          Combine Chicken and Broccoli: Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet along with the broccoli florets. Stir to coat the chicken and broccoli in the creamy sauce. Cover the skillet and allow to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender and the chicken is reheated.
