Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

1 bell pepper (red or yellow), sliced

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas, trimmed

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well, ensuring all the beef is coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Prep the Pan: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring quickly for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are bright and tender-crisp.

Combine: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir everything together, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through. Adjust seasoning with more soy sauce if needed.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture, if desired.
