2 tablespoons almond flour

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1 tablespoon protein powder (your choice, chocolate or vanilla)

1 tablespoon sweetener (like maple syrup or honey)

1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut/seed butter)

1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce

1/8 teaspoon baking powder

A pinch of salt

Optional: 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips or nuts for added texture

Instructions
 

Start by greasing a small microwave-safe bowl or mug.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until all dry ingredients are combined.

      In another bowl, mix together the almond butter, sweetener, and applesauce until smooth and well incorporated.

        Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a thick batter forms. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts for extra richness.

          Transfer the batter to the greased bowl or mug and smooth out the top with a spoon.

            Microwave on high for about 30-45 seconds, checking for doneness; it should be firm but still a little gooey in the center. Be careful not to overcook!
