1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped (plus extra for topping)

1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Mix Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

      Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

          Incorporate Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined—be careful not to over mix.

            Fold in Chocolates and Peanut Butter Cups: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped mini peanut butter cups, and chopped peanuts if using.

              Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Press additional mini peanut butter cups into the tops of the dough balls if desired.
