Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings, separated at the joint

1 cup apple juice

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to heat preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Wings: In a large mixing bowl, combine apple juice, apple cider vinegar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Whisk thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended. Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight for intensified flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If you prefer, you can also use an air fryer for crispier wings.

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil for easier cleanup and place a wire rack on top. This allows the heat to circulate around the wings, making them extra crispy.

Bake the Wings: Remove the wings from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place them on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Sauce the Wings: While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until it thickens slightly.

Glaze and Broil: After 30 minutes of baking, remove the wings from the oven. Brush the thickened sauce generously over the chicken wings. Return the wings to the oven and broil on high for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they are caramelized and crispy, keeping a close watch to prevent burning.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with any remaining sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Enjoy: Serve hot as an appetizer or main dish, paired with your favorite sides!
