1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted

1 ripe tomato, diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 lime, juiced

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (for garnish)

4 corn or flour tostada shells

Olive oil (for drizzling)

Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, crumbled feta cheese, or radishes

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chickpeas: In a medium mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until slightly chunky, keeping some whole for texture.

    Flavor the Mixture: Add the minced garlic, lime juice, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt to the mashed chickpeas. Stir well until combined, and set aside to let the flavors meld.

      Make the Avocado Spread: In a separate bowl, scoop out the avocado flesh and mash it with a fork. Season with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of lime juice to keep it vibrant and fresh.

        Assemble the Tostadas: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly brush the tostada shells with olive oil. Place them on a baking sheet and toast for about 5–7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

          Layer the Ingredients: Once the tostadas are ready, spread a generous layer of the mashed avocado on each tostada. Top with the chickpea mixture, followed by diced tomato and red onion.
