Ingredients

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup vanilla protein powder

1/4 cup coconut flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

2 large eggs

1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)

1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup melted coconut oil (or unsalted butter)

1/4 cup granulated sweetener (for coating)

1 tbsp cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray or coconut oil.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, vanilla protein powder, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients bowl. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix. The batter will be thick.

Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full. Use a spatula to smooth the tops if needed.

Bake: Place the donut pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Prepare Coating: While the donuts are baking, mix the granulated sweetener and cinnamon in a shallow bowl for the coating.

Cool and Coat: Once done, remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Allow them to cool for an additional 5 minutes, then roll each donut in the cinnamon-sugar coating while still warm.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Sweet Churro Protein Donuts warm or at room temperature. Enjoy them as a protein-packed breakfast or tasty snack!
