Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: ¼ cup shredded coconut or chopped nuts for added texture

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together flour and salt. Gradually add the activated yeast mixture to the wet ingredients, followed by the flour mixture, one cup at a time. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. If using, fold in the shredded coconut or chopped nuts.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Shape the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to a lightly floured surface. Shape it into a loaf or divide it into smaller portions for individual rolls.

Second Rise: Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan or on a baking tray for rolls. Cover it and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes.

Preheat the Oven: While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the Bread: Once the dough has risen, bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.

Cool and Serve: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
