Ingredients

1 baguette, sliced diagonally into 1/2-inch pieces

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Zest of 1 lemon

Optional: Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Bruschetta Topping: In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to combine and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to meld the flavors.

Make the Cream Base: In another bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt if needed.

Toast the Baguette: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Brush lightly with olive oil. Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until the slices are golden and crispy.

Assemble the Bruschetta: Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven. Spread a generous layer of the cream mixture onto each piece.

Add the Tomato Mixture: Top the cream-covered baguette slices with a spoonful of the marinated tomato mixture, ensuring an even distribution.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, garnish with additional basil leaves. Serve immediately while the bread is warm and the topping is fresh.
