Ultimate Seafood Stuffed Shells

20 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped

1/2 cup cooked crab meat

1/4 cup cooked scallops, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the pasta shells: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

      Prepare the seafood filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped shrimp, crab meat, scallops, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

        Stuff the shells: Take a spoonful of the seafood mixture and carefully stuff each cooked shell. Be generous with the filling but ensure they don't overfill.

          Assemble the dish: Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a large baking dish. Place the stuffed shells in a single layer over the sauce. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the stuffed shells.

            Add cheese and bake: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top of the shells, and if desired, sprinkle the red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.

              Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
