2 large flour tortillas

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 small yellow onion, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons fajita seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine sliced chicken with olive oil, fajita seasoning, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.

    Cook the Chicken and Veggies: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated chicken. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the Veggies: In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and onions. Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, mix well, and heat through for an additional minute.

        Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese down the center of the tortilla. Spoon half of the chicken and veggie mixture on top. Add another sprinkle of cheese for extra cheesiness.

          Wrap it Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it from the bottom up to secure the filling inside. Repeat with the second tortilla.

            Toast the Wraps: Wipe the skillet clean and return it to medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down and toast for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
