At the heart of our Zesty Blackened Chicken Caesar Wraps is the blackened chicken, a dish characterized by its unique cooking technique that dates back to the Cajun culinary traditions of Louisiana. The blackening method involves coating chicken breasts with a rich blend of spices and then cooking them at high temperatures, resulting in a beautifully charred exterior while locking in the juices for a tender, flavorful bite. This method not only intensifies the chicken's natural flavors but also infuses it with a smoky, spicy kick that is irresistible.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 large flour tortillas

4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional: Croutons for extra crunch

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, drizzle the chicken breasts with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the chicken. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is nicely charred. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into strips.

Prepare the Wraps: On each tortilla, add a generous handful of chopped romaine lettuce followed by sliced blackened chicken. Top with cherry tomatoes, Caesar dressing, and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. If desired, add croutons for an extra crunch.

Wrap It Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it from the bottom up to encase all the delicious fillings.

Serve: Cut each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately with extra Caesar dressing on the side for dipping, if desired.
