½ cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

12 ounces pasta of your choice (spaghetti, fettuccine, or gluten-free)

Cherry tomatoes, halved (for garnish)

Additional pine nuts and basil leaves (for serving)

Prepare the Pesto: In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pulse until coarsely chopped.
